Suzanne Northcott
Based in Langley, BC, Suzanne Northcott is an interdisciplinary artist. Always a painter, she has moved through video, installation and photography. She has collaborated with poets, biologists and artists in other disciplines. Recently, environmental and feminist concerns drew her to textile and hand stitching. Themes of swarm behaviour, migration and the relationship of the one to the many compel her. Influences include Gerhard Richter and Barnett Newman. Rhys Edwards
A critic, artist, and curator, Rhys Edwards has written for Canadian Art, 7x7, The Capilano Review and BC Studies, along with multiple Vancouver-based art blogs. In 2014 he won the C Magazine New Critics prize. In 2015, he co-founded the Agent C Gallery with artist Debbie Tuepah in the Newton region of Surrey. As Assistant Curator at the Surrey Art Gallery, he has developed several exhibitions, and contributed texts and design elements to many others. He also coauthored the City of Surrey’s 2015 Surrey Operations and Civic Infrastructure Art Plan with artist Alan Storey, and has published several essays about the City of Surrey’s Public Art collection. https://rhysedwards.ca/ |
Rolando S. Lampitoc
Based on Salt Spring Island, Rolando Lampitoc originally worked as a graphic artist for over 35 years in Toronto, Ontario. He is now focused on art full-time. During his professional career, he participated in various group shows and art events in and around the Toronto area. His works are in oil, watercolour, acrylic, graphite, pen and ink, and charcoal and he is accomplished in other techniques such as serigraphy, woodblock printing and encaustic art.
