SHANNON PAWLIW

Shannon Pawliw (she/her) is a Vancouver-based artist working in conceptual painting and sculptural installation. The work is colourful, immersive and bold to the point of being cartoonish. Both the painted and 3D works are rooted in organic forms and gestures.

 She is also the Artistic Director and founder of THIS Gallery, a brick-and-mortar arts space in Chinatown where artists and curators gather to engage with the community through exhibitions, workshops and events. The gallery curates a new show monthly, with openings on the first Saturday of each month. The gallery is dedicated to the creation and exhibition of both commercial and non-commercial art.

MICHAEL MCLEAN

Mike Andrew McLean lives with his family in Victoria, British Columbia on the traditional territories of the Lək;ʷəŋən-speaking peoples. He received a BFA in Media Arts from NSCAD University in 2004, and an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria in 2008. He has exhibited in both regional and national venues and works as the Media Technologist in the Visual Arts Department at Camosun College.

​CLAIRE BEAUCHAMP 

Claire Beauchamp (She/Her) graduated with a BFA from University of Guelph, Ontario. She is a designer by trade, and has worked in Victoria and abroad as a graphic designer, muralist, and social media manager. She has a passion for interior design, and her love of collecting and curating artwork was born while she was Curator at Alcheringa Gallery from 2012 to 2016 before it changed hands to Mark Loria.  She is now Retail Assistant with the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria within Art Rentals and Sales, and the Gallery Shop.
