INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS
This art exhibition in the Agricultural Hall welcomes all Mayne Island artists working in a broad range of styles and media. Adult artists at all stages of their career are welcome, from emerging to established and all those who fall somewhere in between.
- Artists are welcome to explore harvest themes but given art is one of Mayne's great bounties, there are no strict limits on subject matter. Artists can choose the work they wish to submit. Recent work (created in the last 3 years) is preferred. Work must be suitable for viewing in a public venue by broad audience.
- To ensure ample space for all, the exhibition is limited to a maximum of two large or three small pieces per artist.
- Maximum width for 2-D work, including frame, is 42 inches.
- All 2-D work must have hanging wire attached from side to side across the back of the art.
- The participation fee is $10, payable when you drop off your work (cash or cheque payable to the SGI Arts Council).
- An Arts Council membership is not required although we certainly appreciate your support if you choose to join.
- Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up and take-down of the show. If you're interested in getting involved, please contact [email protected].
